Our City, Our Airport

Our City, Our Airport is a feature-length documentary I produced, edited, and wrote through Roundhouse Creative Studio, premiering in October 2025. The film tells the unlikely survival story of Albert Whitted Airport, one of the nation's oldest general aviation airfields on the St. Petersburg waterfront and a perpetual target of development pressure. Through intimate personal interviews, rare archival footage, and present-day missions, it traces more than a century of local aviation history.

The core editorial challenge was making a story about an airport feel genuinely human, balancing political history with the kind of people-first storytelling that resonated beyond the aviation community. We also supported a concurrent PR and Marketing content strategy to produce OTT and social content from production, which extended the story across platforms. A couple of examples are below alongside the trailer. The film received coverage from the Tampa Bay Times, WUSF/NPR, and AOPA, earned local ADDYs, and was selected for the Riverside International Film Festival.
